Almonds

Leah has been developing an interesting personality. She says funny things, knows big words (occasionally, constricting, livid), and has started telling stories she thinks up. I was cleaning the kitchen this morning and she told me she was “famished.” I gave her a bag of almonds and told her to eat a few, but not too many, because they can cause tummy aches. She dumped the whole bag onto the table and started sorting them into piles. After a few minutes, I walk over to see what she’s up to and she’s making a design.
“I’m making you out of almonds because your nose is shaped like an almond. But, you don’t have any arms! Just buttons…” She then eats my nose.
